Real Estate Interns

My name is Rachael. I was born in Youngstown, Ohio, but grew up in Mercer County, PA. I was raised by my grandparents, who, at the time, owned and operated a state-licensed personal care boarding home that housed eight I.D. and mental health residents. My grandparents and I lived in the facility along with the residents, so I got a first-hand look at what it took to care for others.

In 2014, I graduated from MCCC as an LPN. I worked as a nurse for several years until I decided to go back to school in 2016 to become a personal care home administrator, just like my grandparents.

I utilized my new degree by taking on an administrator position for UPMC in Pittsburgh. Although time had passed, the personal care home that I grew up in never left my mind. So, in 2018 when my grandparents announced their retirement, I decided to purchase the business.

Five years later, I still own and operate the personal care home, but began taking classes at ETI Technical College for something I’ve always had an interest in – real estate.

Outside of my career, I enjoy spending time with my son, as well as writing children’s books that can be found on Amazon.
